Are you in the mood for some darling illustrations today? Looking for art prints for a kid's room or perhaps your own, if you are young at heart? Korean Illustrator and mixed media artist Kim Haller of Kil.Sook was born in Seoul and adopted by a loving family who raised her in Wisconsin where she now has children of her own and is a high school art teacher. Kim has been involved in art since a child and her family encouraged her to pursue it and today, she is encouraging her students to be creative and to explore their talent. Kim also happens to maintain a small online shop where she sells her original works as prints for around $20.

Kim's illustrations are inspired by many things which include, "a blended heritage, family and the stories we create and various patterns and textures that float around in my head", but there is more… she is motivated by her students who continuously push her to see things in a different perspective. About her students she admits, "They help to keep me grounded and open minded, encourage me to continue my own work, and inspire me to find the humor in many situations".

Her original works are available in her online shop in case you like her style as much as I do. Her sweet characters and the textures that she uses are really great — the cats are my favorite.

Have a happy Friday!

I have admired Kim for many years and am happy to see that her work is being admired by others as well. Her fine pen work is some of my favorite!

I LOVE Kim’s work. I am so excited to see it posted here. She recently created a custom portrait of my son – it is amazing. She went above and beyond our expectations.
