Anne-Julie Aubry is a delightful French artist that I'd love for you to visit today, she works in both the traditional paint and digital mediums to create stunning artwork that is on the one hand childlike and the other, deeply intriguing and intelligent. There is something below the surface and as the viewer, you must determine exactly what it is. Ms. Aubry is a popular independent artist known online quite well, but in case you've not seen her work before I've included some of my favorite pieces below for your pleasure.

My personal favorite is this one, Papillons Bleus. Do you know her work and have a personal favorite? If you like what you see, you can purchase her work as prints in her etsy shop, Nebulous Kingdom, or visit her blog where you can learn more about her work and inspirations.

  5. Anne-Julie was one of my first and greatest discoveries on Etsy a few years ago. I adore her work, and she is so special as a person as well – though we live in entirely different places and have never met outside of a bit of internet interaction and a few purchases by me. Thank you so much for featuring her. She deserves it! I think her work is so magical, even the much darker pieces.
