Sub-Studio Pocket Calendars

Can you believe that soon we'll be ringing in a new year – 2010! I'm already setting dates and scheduling in vacation plans, you too? That's why I got a jump start this year on ordering my calendars, both for the wall and for my wallet.

Last week on my blog, decor8, I pulled together a massive calendar round-up from mostly independent artists and designers that featured around 100 beautiful options for keeping yourself on track next year. (You can view all of them here.) In addition to those beauties, Sub-Studio just rolled out 24 inspirational laminated pocket calendars that I'd like to share since it released too late to make my round up but I want to share it anyway because I think it really fits the Real Simple crowd – like you!

The calendar shown was inspired by their love of fortune cookies, "It's always a pleasure to crack a fortune cookie open and to see what's inside – sometimes inspirational, and sometimes totally random!" says Anna Corpron, lead designer. "We took 24 of our favorite fortune cookie proverbs and updated them with a modern design. Each calendar is 2.25" wide and 3.75" tall, and will fit inside your wallet, moleskine, purse or pocket – making it easy to carry around for whenever you need it."

Customers can either let Sub-Studio pick their calendar for them for $4 or for a dollar more, you can choose your own.

Here are all 24 of their fortune cookie quotes… just don't add "in bed" after them! LOL. Do you have a favorite?

Don't panic.

Wherever you go, go with all your heart.

The smallest deed is better than the biggest intention.

Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without.

The only reason you die is because you live.

Take the chance while you still have the choice.

The only thing you truly own is your time.

Be brave enough to live creatively.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Impossible is a word only to be found in the dictionary of fools.

Keep true to the dreams of your youth.

The beginning of wisdom is to desire it.

Always begin with an end in mind.

The eyes believe themselves; the ears believe other people.

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become.

Pick a path with heart.

Take a chance in the near future.

Change your luck today.

Rest is a good thing, but boredom is its brother.

Let the spirit of adventure set the tone.

Dare to dream, hope, believe, seek, feel, find, and love.

Be mischievous and you will not be lonesome.

Originality overcomes everything.

Good luck is the result of good planning.

Do you have your 2010 calendars yet? Would you use a pocket/wallet calendar like this one?
