How to Post a Comment to the Book Club

September 25, 2009 | By | Comments (0)

Many of you who participate in the No-Obligation Book Club have opted to receive each new post via email. This is a great option for keeping track of the updates from the Real Simple staffers who lead the discussion because you can follow along without having to leave your inbox. However there is a downside: you can’t see the great comments that are left by your fellow Club members, and when you reply to the email your own comments are delivered only to those of us who follow the Club’s email inbox.

Recenty we’ve received several emails in that inbox in which Club members have asked us how to be more involved with the discussion. It seems likely that there are others who have similar questions but haven’t yet asked, so we thought we’d give a very brief explanation for the benefit of all.

We’re always pleased to receive your reply emails, but the best way to jump into the discussion is to post your comments publicly where the original post was published. To get there, simply click on the title of the post in your email. (If you’re reading this in your email right now you’ll see the title “How to Post a Comment to the Book Club” in the body of the message. That’s what you’ll want to click on.) Clicking the post title will take you to the page on the No-Obligation Book Club blog where the post was originally published. If you scroll down to the end of the post, you’ll see a form where you can enter your own comment– just fill it out and click the “Post” button to add your thoughts to the page. Below the form you’ll see all the comments made by others so you can respond to their thoughts, too.

If you don’t currently receive the Book Club posts in your email but would like to, just click here to subscribe.

We hope this has been helpful!
