October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and “pink” products are popping up everywhere I look – from cookies to socks to skin creams. This makes me happy for 2 reasons:
1. I happen to love the color pink.
2. I happen to love it when a company donates a portion of their proceeds to a good cause.
If you’re out and about shopping for gifts this month, why not think pink? If you’re purchasing something anyways, purchase with a purpose! (Okay, I’ll stop).
Here’s my favorite find so far, and I’m already thinking of several girlfriends who would love to receive it:
Ten percent of the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, an it’s actually a very well made product that will last. L’Atelier du Vin is a French company that’s been cranking out wine accessories since 1926, and the “swing system” handle on this one fits the gesture of your hand in such a way that you can pull corks without a struggle. Plus it will match your party dress.
