I’ll live in my light jacket for a month or so, but after that, it only comes out for strangely warm days or as a layer underneath a winter coat. So I don’t think it should cost a fortune (that winter coat is another story).
We had an easy time finding six fall-appropriate options under $100 by looking in slightly unexpected places (ShopMamie, a small site where everything’s in that budget, and Delia’s, which sells teen clothes) and at less-expensive fabrics (sophisticated jacket shapes in cotton jersey from Express and Modcloth).
