Do you dream of shopping the souks of Marrakesh? Fancy a pair of jeweled slippers? How about a delicious dish prepared in a tangine? If so, this post is for you. I received the nicest email this morning from Tina, known online as the "Traveling Mama", announcing her new etsy shop. I am so pleased to learn that this lovely blogger now has a shop! Tina and her family live in Morocco and was looking for a way to combine her creativity with her love for the Moroccan people and she decided to take her beautiful photographs and turn them into postcards and prints. How does this benefit her new homeland?
Tina says,"100% of the profit from sales at our Etsy shop will go towards building a better future for the children of Morocco. We are partnering with a Well Drilling Association to bring a local school safe drinking water and a bathroom. We hope to show the children how to use their creativity to make their dreams come alive through art lessons as well as provide a reading area and books. We will, of course, be blogging the process and showing our readers where their money is going."
What a positive endeavor! Congratulations to Tina for proactively finding a way to help others through art and creativity.
