There are many ways that you can organize your closet. I’m a fan or organizing by type of garment (slacks, dresses, short-sleeve tops) and then by color within those groups (darkest at the front of the section, moving into bright whites at the back of the section). You may organize by season, or maybe by complete outfit. Whatever method you use, it’s fine as long as it helps you to keep clutter out of your closet.
Recently, I learned about Simple Division Garment Organizers that slip over your clothing rod and let you identify each of your groups of clothes. They can speed up your pace for finding clothes, as well as make it easy for someone else to put things away for you. The organizers are also great for using in young childrens’ rooms as they learn to navigate getting dressed on their own.
They’re available in packs of 12, which is usually enough to use in one adult closet. There is ample room at the top of each divider to adhere a printed label from your labelmaker.

I have used these for about the past 8 months. I thought they were a little pretentious in my closet, but it turns out it actually helps me save time when putting things away. At one time, my clothes were organized by color, then by size. Then, it just go too out of control and it was a wonder that they even got hung up. Having the dividers in reminds me of the vision I had for my closet and gives me one less thing to think about when putting away laundry or dry cleaning.
I have maybe 20 items hanging in my closet. We’ve downsized to the point of only having two weeks of clothes.
i love this, am gonna give it a try thanks.
