Have you heard of UK interiors company Surface View? They combine their print business with imagery from comics, modern classics found in museums (like the V&A), vintage textiles and other sources to bring you custom made murals for walls and brick (yes brick, wow, right!?!), prints, tiles, Formica, textiles, blinds and more for both residential and commercial spaces.
While it is quite a daring undertaking for the average homeowner to apply larger-than-life applications to their walls, I do see custom prints and canvases really working. My favorite product from their collection are their shades like the one shown below. I also learned that you can apply Surface View graphics to brick walls — now we're talking! I have some friends in Boston who are dying to plaster over the brick exposure in the living room of their brownstone — this could be a potential solution for them without compromising their beautiful brick.
As a Surface View customer, one can choose from over 120 curated images in their collection and preview them in a variety of settings on their website which makes the process incredibly cutting-edge and helpful.
