I love the Apple commercials highlighting iPhone/iPod Touch apps which are perfect for a certain type of person – business owner, student, do-it-yourselfer, traveler – which got me thinking…

If you are a parent, is there an app for that? The answer is, of course, yes! So, here's my take on the Apple commercial (with apologies to the fabulous copywriters hired by Apple).

VERSION 1: DINNERTIME

[CUE MUSIC]

ANNC: Say you are a parent, and you need to figure out what you are going to make for dinner, using only eggs and frozen peas.

ANNC: And, while dinners cooking, you want to help your kids review their "sight words".

ANNC: But then someone needs a potty and you need to find the closest available public toilet.

ANNC: Soon you need to find a restaurant that serves food your kids will actually agree to eat.

ANNC: And then it's time to go home and post pictures of your adventures for the grandparents to see.
