I love throwing parties and don't really suffer from hostess anxiety…a blessing, I know. (Have to give my party-planning mom props for that.) But I still always struggle with one thing: the menu. My biggest challenge is deciding what to serve, and how much of it to make. I always end up with too much food because I am so fearful of the opposite effect. (Share your entertaining blocks below…)
Here's where you step in: my mom and I are throwing a springtime bridal shower for a dear friend. There will be 40 people in attendance. What do you think of this menu?
Prosecco with fresh raspberries
White sangria (I'm on the hunt for the perfect recipe..I like the sound of this Real Simple version)
Chilled cucumber soup
DIY bruschetta bar: I had this idea to put out small baguette slices and serve three kinds of toppings guests can choose from: traditional tomato mix, white bean combo, and eggplant caponata.
Mains, Buffet Style
Pasta salad with roasted vegetables
Chicken stuffed with asparagus
Heart-shaped linzer cookies
Have you hosted a bridal shower? What was on the menu?
