Shopping Amazon from Your BlackBerry

Two of my favorite past times, shopping and checking my BlackBerry, have come together with Amazon's latest mobile
offering, Amazon App for BlackBerry. Designed specifically for the BlackBerry, the free application offers customers who
use a BlackBerry device with a track ball a quick and simple way to
find, discover, and buy products from Amazon.com and thousands of other
retailers. BlackBerry users can now rejoice knowing that iPhone users aren't the only ones able to shop on the go.

The new mobile application allows you to also access the Amazon Remembers
feature. Amazon Remembers helps you keep track of items you see in your
daily life and even tries to match photos of products to the same or
similar products available on Amazon.com. Simply snap photos
with your BlackBerry and the photos are automatically uploaded to
Amazon.com, which then tries to find products similar to the ones in the
photos. As soon as you receive the results, you can purchase the item immediately or remember it for later in your Amazon
account.

In addition to Amazon Remembers, the Amazon App for BlackBerry offers mobile access to your Amazon.com account and your favorite shopping features including:

Amazon’s 1-Click ordering
Package tracking
Personalized recommendations
Editorial and customer reviews
Access to your personal Wish List

The Amazon App for BlackBerry is available on any Blackberry device with
a trackball for free directly from Amazon.com or downloadable directly from any BlackBerry with trackball at amazon.com/bb.

With Spring sports season now upon us, I expect to spend a lot of down time on the little league fields. Imagine how productive I will be shopping from behind the batter's box.

  1. Hi Erin,
Since you’re interested in the amazon app, I wanted to let you know about my own little project I’ve been working on called Frugalytics.
It’s a mobile comparison shopping engine that let’s you compare prices, read product descriptions, and get ratings on any phone. You get prices from a lot of different e-tailers (including amazon).
You can visit http://frugalytics.com from your phone or text FRUFRU to 67463 for a quick link
